To empower future engineers with hands-on training and cutting-edge knowledge to excel in mechanical plant engineering. We offer quality training, fostering innovation, sustainability and industry-relevant skills in a dynamic learning environment.
Since the inception of the program in 2022, the department has endeavored to offer holistic education training in mechanical plant technician specialty and prepares the trainees for entry-level positions in the industry with the required knowledge and skills needed to be effective mechanical plant technicians.
Our approach to training is dual training where our trainees undergo 50% training in the institution and the other 50% mandatory in-company training in the industries we have partnered with. Our key partners are the tea sector industries.
Upon completion of the course, our trainees get two certifications, the AHK certification (German certification) and the Kenyan certification once they get termed competent.
