Network Configuration & Administration

Our office ensures a seamless and secure wireless experience across the polytechnic.

  • Campus-Wide Wireless Network: Deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of all network access points.
  • User Profile Management: In line with our “One Device, One Password” security policy, we create and manage unique user profiles for all students and staff.
  • Connectivity Support: We work to resolve connectivity issues and ensure optimal network performance for learning and administration.

System Administration & Enterprise Platforms

We administer the critical software platforms that run the institution, ensuring data integrity and availability.

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System: User account creation and management, assigning and auditing user access rights, performing regular local and off-site data backups.
  • TVET MIS Administration: Ensuring all trainee records are accurate and up-to-date, facilitating scholarship disbursement.
  • HEF Desk: Serving as the liason between the trainees and HELB.

Website Administration & Security

Our public-facing website is our digital front door. We are committed to making it informative, user-friendly, and secure.

  • UI/UX Redesign: Continuously working to improve the website’s design, navigation, and overall user experience.
  • Regular Backups: Performing scheduled backups of the website content and database.
  • Security Vigilance: Implementing measures to safeguard the website against spam, malware, and other cyber threats.

Data Protection & Compliance

We take the privilege of handling your personal data with the utmost seriousness.

  • Data Protection Officer (DPO): This office officially serves as the Polytechnic’s Data Protection Officer.
  • Registered with ODPC: We are proud to announce that we are successfully registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) as data controllers.

Huawei ICT Academy

Bridging the gap between academia and industry, we are excited to be establishing a Huawei ICT Academy.

  • Certification Courses: Opportunity to learn and earn internationally recognized certifications from Huawei.
  • Cutting-Edge Curriculum: Courses include Routing & Switching, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and more.
  • Skill Development: Equipping trainees with practical skills for the global ICT job market.

General ICT Support

We provide comprehensive technical support to all staff and trainees.

  • Working closely with a dedicated team of two ICT technicians.
  • Prompt resolution of hardware and software issues.
  • HEF application assistance team alongside the Dean of Students.
  • Implementation and enforcement of IT security policies, including antivirus, firewalls, and user access controls.
  • Training and support for staff and students on ICT tools and systems.
